John Symond honoured with AM
Founder and Managing director of Aussie Home Loans, John Symond, has been conferred the honour of Australian Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia.
Mr Symond said "All Aussie Home Loans’ staff across Australia share this award, as they have all contributed to our success over the last 10 years in shaking up the home loan market with great products and service".
John won the AM for his services to the mortgage industry, which until the creation of Aussie Home Loans, was the sole domain of the banks.
Aussie pioneered a range of initiatives to improve home lending for Australians, the most notable being the introduction of interest rate competition, as well as home visits and great customer services by its national force of consultants, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
